Pumpkin Spice

Hello darlings,

autumn is just around the corner, and I am so happy about it!
I am a total autumn person, I just love when it's getting cozy inside with tea and books. Today I made a batch of vegan chocolate chip cookies which we enjoyed with some hot chocolate.

A few days ago I went to my favorite bookshop and bought myself the new illustrated "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone". Harry Potter just belongs to stormy and chilly autumn days in my oppinion. I guess that's also why we plan to watch all of the movies during fall.
I also went to Lush to get myself some bathing stuff. I bought the "Twilight" bath bomb and the "Spicy Pumpkin" bathmelt. Both smell totally divine!
Some pumpkin spice scented candles, small deco pumpkins and a new notebook also moved in here.

Autumn, I am ready for you!

Meeting my Soulsister again

So this was a very special july week. My friend Roosa from Finland came visiting me from the first till the seventh of july! Last time we've seen each other was last October. So I was really happy to finally spent time with her again.

On our first day we went for lunch to the Sushi Bar to have some good food together with my boyfriend, who had some free time from university so he could join us. Sushi is always good, isn't it? After that Roosa and me went to the botanical gardens. I really wanted to show that place to her and especially in summer, when everything's in bloom, it's the perfect place. We took tons of photos, all the flowers were so pretty. We also visited the green houses, where cacti, succulents and other desert plants grew. This was such a hot day, so we couldn't stay in the green houses for too long. We got really thirsty so we went into a cute café, that we found on our way back to the city, for some chilly ginger rhubarb lemonade.
Back in the city I showed my favorite asian tea shop to her. We bought a few things, incense, tea, a cup and a cute black n white bowl. Of course we also couldn't resist all the card shops on our way and ended up buying lots of cards again. A visit in my fav bookshop is a must and they also sell lots of english books. We ended up buying two books each, Roosa got "Milk and Honey" by Rupi Kaur & "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde, I got "The Pearl that broke it's shell" by Nadia Hashimi & "The Bookshop" by Penelope Fitzgerald.

The rest of the week the weather stayed that hot, but nevertheless we tried to do as many things as possible: We ate lots of yummy food (at home and in some restaurants), went to the forest nearby, bought vinyls, watched movies, listened to our favourite music, had warm summer evenings on my balcony with our painting stuff, candles and wine, talked a lot, laughed a lot and just enjoyed our reunion.

It was an unforgettable week and it was hard to say goodbye at the airport. But I know that of course we will meet again soon and spend the best quality time together again.

March favourites

My favourites for this month are already really springlike. I am having enough of this cold and wet weather, so in need of warmer days.

1. I really love denim dresses. This one has a button-up line and a cute belt which gives a Little vintage touch to this Zara dress.

2. I am a real handcream junkie. I would say that I am using tons of it. This Hand balm by the brand "Yard etc" smells of dog roses which already reminds me of summer.

3. The other companion to the jeans jacket: The corduroy jacket. I think also this piece has a vintage-look which I absolutely love! It's from Monki.

4. A book: "The lost words" by Robert Macfarlane. "The Lost Words stands against the disappearance of wild childhood. It is a joyful celebration of nature words and the natural world they invoke..."

5. I really like woven shoes. These ones seem to be perfect for summer and would make a good fit to the jeans dress and the jacket ( :

Travel Diary: Days in Prague

Hello lovely people,

last week the boy, me and our two friends went for a city trip to Prague. The czech capital has already been on my travel list for some time now. How lucky I was in january when the four of us decided to make a little trip to Prague. The apartment was found and booked very quickly via AirBnB and also a carpark was not far away from there.

Our first real day was sooo warm and sunny! We were so lucky with the weather, we made a walk through Prague old town, passed the Charles bridge, had some yummy lunch next to the bridge in an austrian restaurant, I went to the "Shakespeare and Sons" bookshop, walked by the riverside of the Moldova, walked through Letna Park, and finally ended up in the beautiful Café Letka to have some coffee, hot chocolate and some cake. After homemade dinner we went to the city again to visit a jazz club.

The second day started with rain and it wouln't stop for the rest of the day. Luckily we already  did the sightseeing the day before. So we visited some vintage shops, had some coffee and muffins in the Coffee Room and drove to the old town again. We visited the "Týnský chrám" cathedral and did a little bit of shopping.

"The ancient splendor and beauty of Prague, a city beyond compare, left an impression on my imagination that will never fade."
- Richard Wagner -

We had a wonderful old and antique AirBnB apartment in the Vinohrady area. Our neighborhood was filled with cute cafés, vintage shops and restaurants.

One of the hundrets of beautiful cafés in our neighborhood: Coffee Room. My friend Laura & me really wanted to try their Avocado toast, but we were too late for lunch... ) :

So we had some coffee with oat milk and some banana muffins.

The interior was so much my taste.

Okay, when we did our research for Prague, we already saw these baked deliciousness on several photos. Of course we wanted to try them out ourselves. I don't even know what they are called honestly, maybe "TRDLO", we just called them "Rollo" :D :D Mine was filled with vanilla cream, cream and strawberries. Really recommendable.

Oh how I was looking forward to visit this gem of a bookshop! I could have spend the whole day browsing through all these books! There is also a basement with even more books and a sofa to sit down and read.

Still in love with this shop!

Some of the books I bought at the "Shakespeare and Sons" bookshop and some Alphonse Mucha postcards I sent to my girls.

This was such a rainy day. It called for many café visits and a Little bit of shopping.

Polaroid nostalgia
Rainy days...
More bookshop coziness and a view to the castle

Coffee and cake time with my gang at the beautiful Café Letka.
Týnský chrám: Sadly it rained here, so everything turned out a bit more grey...

Prague just has the prettiest buildings. Couldn't even decide what to photograph...

Cozy corner with the coolest band posters ♥

The gang in the "JAZZ REPUBLIC" , listening to some jazz (though I kinda hate jazz) :D Fun evening though, enjoyed some wine and cocktails.

January Mood

Hello out there!

January hit the outside world with it's cold side. The days are frosty, but slowly getting a bit longer. That makes me feel kinda positive, thinking of spring and warmer days to come.

To shorten the cold time a bit, I bought myself a bouquet of tulips this week. Makes me happy to have some spring flowers in the apartment.
A stroll through the bookshop made me leave with a new book - Paris by Hemingway. A hommage to my favourite city. I also finally got my hands on a beret which I am wearing a lot these days.

The beginning of a new year always makes me think of travelling. So I am happy to say that the boy and me already have made plans and set some things in motion.
In march we will travel to Prague with friends, a city that has been on my travel list since a while now. Super happy about this, can't wait for march to come.

❅ Merry Christmas ❅

Christmas morning: Had some vegan pancakes today and I finally could light the fourth candle on my advent tray.
 Merry Christmas, everybody!

It's here, christmas eve! Can't believe it's this day again, christmas came so quickly. There was so much to do this past week, sending out christmas mail to my friends, getting and decorating our tree, making some cookies, buying and wrapping the last gifts. But now it is all done and finally I can enjoy the free time to come. This morning I made some vegan pancakes for me and the boy, just to start this day very good. I already unwrapped some gifts, the ones from my love and one from a dear workmate. I am so happy what I received, some people just know me so well. ♥

Now it's time for me to get dressed in my new dress and drive to my family. I can't wait for some christmas time with my dearest people.

I hope you're having a good holiday season and enjoy time with your families.

❅ ❅ ❅ ❅ ❅ ❅

Christmas things: A book "the mistletoe murder and other stories" by P. D. James, christmas yogi tea and some smoking candles with a christmassy scent.
Time to burn my gingerbread scented candle. Got this for a few euros and I love it. // We also had a little baking session yesterday evening. I made some star-shaped cinnamon cookies, my favourite vegan cookies and some normal cookies in different shapes.
Wrapping time: All of my gifts are finally wrapped and packed. So in love with the cute animal wrapping paper ♥

❅ Happy 2nd of Advent ❅

Moomins by Tove Jansson, image found on pinterest
Happy 2nd of advent, lovelies!

Christmas is coming closer and I still need to buy some gifts. This week I visited the first christmas market, had some mulled wine and it snowed almost every day! We also made some cookies to give as a secret santa gift for friends. I still need to bake my favourite vegan cookies, which are so easy to make!
