Indian Summer - a throwback

Hi lovely people,
it has been so quiet here for such a long time ) : Summer passed by so quickly, time ran, 2 journeys in between and now it's officially autumn.

Summer here was well spent, most of my time (apart from working) I spent in cafés, bookshops and the botanical garden. I've read a lot and bought new books. I spent quality time in my grandparents garden and in the forest. I went to cute cities and bought new notebooks and art postcards. I went to Crete in august. I cared for my plant family.

Summer was good. ♥

Enjoyed tea, a new book and a letter in my grandparents garden.

Found the prettiest illustration book by Maria Sibylla Merian
Best place to read and sip on a cup of coffee with almond milk.
Forest adventures and stuff I bought in august.
Pretty flowers in the botanical garden.

Bouquet des fleurs

Wild Flowers
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Seems like summer is finally here. I took a trip with my bike around the town today and noticed all the pretty wild flowers at the wayside. Of course I had to pick a little bouquet for my home. It remebered me of my obsession with wild grown flowers from last year. And I really found back to that prettiness: Lupines, chamomille, yarrow and all the other little beauties. They are doing well at our little cabin. I love this cute little swedish-like house, loved playing there as a child. Now it's just a pretty place to relax, read a book, sip some tea or have a smoothie bowl on the white bench and to dwell on thoughts . . .

Soul food: Sweet strawberries and kiwis in vegan milk, topped with cacau nibs, chia seeds, coconutflakes, hemp & sunflower seeds. Super deslish !

Found this super pretty soup plate [I use it for my breakfast creations] in a thrift store today, for only 1 Euro ! How cool is this ?!? I also bought it in light red and some other little pretty things . . .
And this Moomin Snorkmaiden spoon is part of my breakfast spoon collection now ☻

Botanical Dreams...

Yesterday me and the boy went to the botanical garden. It's such a lovely place and I enjoyed every bit. I especially fell in love with the cottage garden, with it's wild flowers, vegetables and herbs. Also the palm houses were worth visiting, unfortunately the weather was about 30 degrees so we couldn't stay so long in the houses.

For me botanical gardens are a place where you can learn so many interesting things about plants and bionomics. We should learn so much more about nature and our environment, so we can walk around with open eyes and much more love and care in our hearts.

A walk through the lush leaves gave totally freedom to my mind, what a glorious day!

So here are some photos of that lovely place. Enjoy!

Summer's in the air...

Hello lovelies!
Before my journey I spent a while in the garden to relax and calm down a bit. It's getting warmer here again and the sun is shining after days of rainy and stormy weather. I harvested some sugar snaps from my raised bed and the last marigold for this summer made me smile. There are also some little tomatoes growing, but they still need their time. I hope when I am back home, I can start to plant some new things for autumn...
