Byebye 2018

2018 is coming to an end tomorrow. Many good memories were made this year:

In march we travelled to Prague with our lovely friends and spent four amazing days there exploring the city. It was such a good trip, we had lots of fun together.
In july my lovely Roosa came visiting me for one week. We spent such a good time together, had lots of good food, wine, bought books and art cards, went to the botanical garden, watched movies, drew together on the balcony in warm summer nights.
In august me and the boy went on our summer vacation to south France to spent amazing days in La Provence. Again, lots of good food and wine. We discovered provencial markets, cute towns, made a day trip to Grasse, swam in the lake and just enjoyed summer.
In september I passed my exams and left all that stress of learning behind.
In october it was traveling time again, so we flew to Edinburgh to spent some amazing autumn days in that beautiful city. We enjoyed pumpkin spice lattes, went to the museum, visited old bookshops & caught a flew from that cold scottish weather ) :
We spent lots of quality time with family and friends, had good moments sipping coffee in cafés, I discovered new and lovely books, went to the David Bowie musical, took walks in the pretty autumnal forest and had a fantastic Christmas time. So, thank you 2018 for all the good memories.

Yesterday I went for a walk in the forest, everything's now so bleak and gloomy compared to autumn. Nevertheless forest walks are always so soothing I find.
I am also reading a new book now (original title: The Toymakers) which I already like quite a lot.

I am wishing you all a happy new year 2019!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, y'all!

Finally it's this time of the year again. Isn't it just the best time of the year? Everything's so cozy and lovely decorated. I for myself enjoy this special time to the fullest. Yesterday at Christmas Eve I went to my family for dinner and the handing out of presents. We enjoyed a very good meal, since I am vegetarian my mom served me hummus with avocado, chickpea curry with rice and vanilla ice with self-made date-almond-cacao-blissballs. It was so yum. Since I had no real wishes this year, I received quite a lot: Natural cosmetics, a gift voucher for my fav bookstore, earrings, a ticket for the Pink Floyd exhibition "Their Mortal Remains", candles and natural perfume. So thankful for all that.

Today on the first Christmas Day, it is so sunny! I'd wish for some snow, but this won't happen. This morning I went to church with my grandma and after that I cooked a vegan christmas meal for me and the boy, it's been a good day so far.

Now I will continue reading my christmas crime novel.

Wishing you all lovely holidays!

Cozy Christmas Time

It's the week before Christmas and I've been on a city stroll to get the last gifts. Even though the shops and streets are full of people, I enjoy this christmassy atmosphere. Lights and christmas decoration everywhere.

2nd of Advent

Happy 2nd of advent, everyone!

Today is just a lazy day, eating cookies and drinking tea. I am also thinking about reading today, I wanna finish my current readings to start with my new christmas crime story "Das Geheimnis der Grays" (original: Portrait of a Murderer).
I also need to wrap some christmas gifts for friends that I wanna send out via mail tomorrow.

I hope you're enjoying your advent sunday!

A Good December Day

Today I've caught the train early in the morning to visit my friend Laura. We planned a shopping tour and just having a good time. After a chaos of late and super full trains I finally made it to rainy Düsseldorf. We strolled a bit through cute neighborhood shops and went for a little lunch to Café "Hüftgold". We enjoyed bagels with tomatoes and mozzarella, greek mountain herbs tea & OMI tea (oranges, mint and ginger). It was really delicious and by far the best tea I ever had in a café.

We ended up buying ceramic mugs, scented soy candles, a bit of organic cosmetics, a few clothes at UO, heavenly smelling goodies from Lush, books from an independent bookstore, a bit of Christmas decoration and other cute things.

To gain back some energy we went for caramel coffee and vegan banana apple cinnamon bread to café "Rösterei VIER". It was super delicious and nice to eat between all the plants that were hanging from the ceiling.

All in all we spent a wonderful day together.

1st of Advent

Happy first of advent!

Today I lighted the first candle of my selfmade advent wreath. Two days ago I visited a little workshop with my friend Laura, where we made our own wreaths for the advent time! I only had to bring the candles, the material was offered by the workshop. I decided to use only dark evergreens for  tying and natural materials for decorating. I am so super proud and happy with how it turned out! Really really loving it! I also still have my scandinavian advent tray from last year which I am using as well. I decorated it with pinecones, walnuts, greens, golden christmas balls and ceramic angels.

Yesterday I went to the city and strolled through all the christmassy things that the shops sell atm. I found a scented candle, "Rustic Spruce" which smells, as the name reveals, of spruce and Christmas trees! I also visited two christmas markets yesterday, but the weather is really warm for december, so there is no real christmas mood yet and also the hot mulled wine is not tasting that good in these temperatures.

Nevertheless I am super excited for Christmas, this cozy time, beeswax candles, books, tea, hot mulled wine, snow, christmas music, bubble baths, smell of frankincense, cookies......
